Woman Stabbed In Broad Daylight In Citrus Heights
A woman was stabbed today while sitting in her car in a Citrus Heights parking lot in the middle of the day.
At around 11 a.m. today, the woman was in a parked car in a parking lot at 5948 Auburn Blvd. She and the man were there picking up another vehicle, say police, when a man came up to the vehicle and asked for money. When the woman said that she didn't have any, the man allegedly pulled out a knife stabbed her numerous times, say police. Fortunately, she was able to drive away. She was taken to the hospital and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Citrus Heights Police were led to the home of Rendell Salvador. They detained Salvador, and with help from a witness, identified him as the stabbing suspect.
Salvador was booked into the Sacramento County Jail on charges of attempted murder and attempted robbery.
