A UC Davis employee whose job it was to help poor Californians has been indicted for embezzling tens of thousands of dollars.

She got away with it for about six years which has some students outraged. The thing that made them even more upset is that the accused woman is still collecting money from UC Davis.

A former UC Davis employee has been accused of skimming $160,000 from a program designed California's neediest families. Students were even more upset to learn that 65-year-old Beverly Benford is still getting paid. Shortly after the investigation began, she retired with a lump-sum pension of about $270,000.
