Officers Say Parolee Refusing To Leave House

Police were involved in a standoff with a parolee Friday afternoon in east Sacramento.

The incident began shortly before noon at a large home in the 1400 block of 39th Street, located near Folsom Boulevard.

Officers said they went to the house to take the parolee into custody for an alleged parole violation.

Authorities said the parolee, who may be armed, went into the home and refused to come out. The man was said to be in the home alone.

Part of Folsom Boulevard near the house was shut down to keep the public safe, police said.
