A "minmal tornado" did some minor damage in Elk Grove on Monday, according to a preliminary assessment from the National Weather Service.

Fences were blown over on Stanwell Way, not far from Elk Grove Regional Park.

High winds also knocked tiles off the roof of at least one home in the area.
