14th Annual Children’s Spring Ball Set for April 12, 2008

Event Raises Funds to Provide Treatment and Support Services for Emotionally Challenged Children


WHAT:   

Each spring, River Oak Center for Children hosts the Children’s Spring Ball as the major fund-raiser for the year.  Close to 1,000 friends and supporters of River Oak gather for an evening of elegance and style to show their support for the emotionally and behaviorally challenged children living and receiving therapeutic services at River Oak’s Residential Treatment Campus. 

The theme for this year’s event is “One Earth, Many Dreams.”  The evening will include gourmet dinner, silent and live auction, and the opportunity to learn more about River Oak’s programs and services for children and families living in the greater Sacramento area.

WHO:   

Established in 1966, River Oak Center for Children (www.riveroak.org) is a leading mental health and social services provider in the greater Sacramento area and is dedicated to improving the lives of emotionally and behaviorally challenged children (birth to 18) and their families.  The children and youth receiving services from River Oak have been exposed to abuse, neglect, behavioral challenges or debilitating mental illness.  River Oak helps children and their families successfully manage life’s challenges through a wide range of behavioral health and social services by providing prevention, treatment, and caring support.  Through the wide range of the agency’s services, more than 2,000 children and families annually are given a chance to embark on the path of healing and realize the best of their potential.
