Palermo Ristorante Italiano and Watts Winery on
 Thursday, July 29th at 6:30p.m.
The cost is $65 per person (gratuity and tax not included) consisting of a six course dinner paired with six wines.

A member of Watts Winery will be on hand to talk to you about the wines you will taste.  Also, Palermo’s owner and executive chef, Giovanni Toccagino Sr., and son, Chef Giovanni Toccagino Jr., will be presenting all six of the courses they have especially prepared.  Please join us for this festive occasion and enjoy a wonderful Southern Italian influenced meal paired with superb wines from Watt’s Winery.


Zuppe(soup)
Shrimp Soup


Large Scallops
Grilled scallops topped with a saffron onion sauce, served with grilled asparagus.
~2007 Chardonnay, Casa Azul Vineyard ...Light toasty scents of pineapple and pear lead to flavors of coconut, pineapple, quince and hints of marshmallow.  This is a medium bodied wine with a citrus finish~

Duck Tortelloni
Tortelloni cooked with a mushroom marinara sauce.                                 
~2005 Old Vine Zinfandel, Pescador Vineyard..From 72 year old vines comes a fruit-forward, smooth wine.  Aromas of cherry, violets & a slight edge of berry cobbler, meld into flavors of cherry, blueberry, soft tannins, w/ a berry & spice finish~

Insalate(salad)
Fresh mixed greens with asparagus, boiled eggs and a vinaigrette dressing.
~2005 Montepulciano, Los Robles Vineyard...A dark colored wine with aromas of cherry, tobacco, jammy berry and cedar, lead to the robust flavors of dark cherry and black olives with chewy tannins~

Halibut
Sautéed Halibut in a blackberry sauce, served with seafood risotto and spinach.                               
~2005 Reserve Syrah, Los Robles Vineyard...A beginning aroma of candied cherries and cassias leading to flavors of dark cherry and cassias, with a hint of white pepper.  Medium bodied and soft tannin wine with a smooth finish~

Dolce Siciliano(dessert)
Zabione or Veneziana
 ~2006 Volt Port, Los Robles Vineyard...An old-world style wine with an aroma of fresh baked cherry pie with hints of tobacco, olive and blackberry~
