My mother used to go to garage sales alot and would find things that normally people would look over and it would always be perfect and when you would go you wouldn't come close. I see them often, however I personally don't go to them , but I would if someone that I am with wanted to go to one. There are some that have truly some great deals and then there are those that are just getting rid of there junk and have the audacity to try and sell them to someone else.

I am so addicted to garage sales. I can`t get enough. My whole family , uses them as a fun get-a-way for the weekends. We have tons of <junk>! Who knows? Where do you love to go? I personally love Nevada City. Also Rancho Cordova, great clothes there, CaroleSuzanne

We try to go (I mainly look for yard care tools)... I get annoyed by the "estate sales" that are just businesses that are run like businesses w/ retail prices. I guess these people go in, buy houses & everything in them after the owners die & put a price tag on everything. Sad

I once came across the sell of people's items from storage centers and I felt strange about it even though they would be legit. I just didn't feel right because you don't know for what reason their account fell into default and they may have come into hard times. This is something that draws alot of people and they don't really mind it at all. My husband even didn't see a problem with it, but I do.  I know that the account would have had to be in default for a very long time, but still I feel strange. We at one point had all our belongings in storage and fell behind on more than one occasion, however we were able to pay it.
What do any of you think?

Hey lady1, My brother owns a ton of those storage units and they are so in demand that the turn over is great. He sends out a total of 6 notices and trys to track down all the people, before he sells any items from <said stroage unit>. The notices are sent out over a period of 4 months. So go ahead and buy , your doing the owner a favor. He can rent them again, sooner. CaroleSuzanne

i used to go to a lot of garage sales when I lived in washington. But, not that I live here, not so much. I think this is due to my working on the weekends and a lack of lots of extra dollars.

but, If you see some used records out there, let me know....

I am sad to say I have never been to a garage sale besides the one my neighbor was having which didn't really count since I helped set up. But I told myself next time I see one I am gonna try to stop by it.

'tis the season... the weather is great, so I'm sure we're about to see a ton of 'em! I know I've seen signs for at least two in our neighborhood - I just wish they'd take them down when they're done!

I spend most every weekend at garage sales. I find the most unique and some older items I am looking for at them. I often find items to resale on line and make a tidy profit off of.

Downtown Sacramento is fantastic for garage sales. Generally I'll check the paper but often I'll just cruise around looking for garage-sale signs in the warm-weather months (spring and fall) and generally find at least a few.

Hey there what are you looking for??I buy them all the time and have a extensive collection. Mostly of the old 60s and cowboy music, mostly 76s,
but, If you see some used records out there, let me know....
