I'll get the ball rolling on the intros... I'm Eric, the admin of SacForums.com. I've wanted to create a local site for the Sacramento area for quite some time, and after looking around, there are a few City specific sites, as well as some that are not quite family or work friendly. In that regard, Sacramento appeared to be in need of a new venue for online discussion... So, here we are Smiley

To my surprise, I recently found that the domain, SacForums.com, was available. Apparently it was previously owned at least once or twice over the last several years. So, if you were a member of those forums, welcome back! If this is your first visit here, we're glad you found us & hope you enjoy your stay!

hi eric.  thanks for this place.  now i can divide my free time between two forums.  as soon as i find free time.
let me know if and when you need to wrangle up some moderators.  you know how i feel about the power trip...   Wink

Hi Eric,

A nice little place ya got going here I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon it last night. I love Sac local stuff on the net that is just so rad, ty ty ty.   Smiley

I prefer forum based message sites to the boards on the other sites I hang out at you know CL etc.

Hope we continue to grow strong but now I am curious what happened before you know? I only knew about Sac Chat years ago and have no idea why that went poof either tho maybe I just don't want to. lol  Lips Sealed sigh

Where can I expect to see you advertising around town? I feel kinda privileged to be a ground floor member hehehehehe  Shocked

hey, I'm glad you like it! I don't know what happened in the past, but after a little digging it looks like the previous owners also owned a forum devoted to some local radio personalities & that site died as well... I don't have any large scale advertising planned at the moment (need revenue for that), but I've placed tear-offs, fliers, and business card sized handouts at various locations... Those same items can be found here. I might be found handing out fliers at the next home show or event at Cal Expo? If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear 'em Smiley
