What are the bad areas of Sacramento???

Hi, I'm Jake from Indiana. Wife and I are moving to Sacramento early next year. Every city has it's problem areas, where are Sacramento's? We don't want to live in any gang areas, got enough of those here. East side? West Side? N, S, Where's the avoidables? ANy help would be appreciated. Thanks!-------------------------Jake

It's hard to answer your question w/out offending someone, but you could always look at the individual forums and check the number of crime-related news stories posted in each... Though, I guess one could claim that's not a very accurate method given how long the site has been live and what never makes it into the news Wink

I'll give it a shot since I don't care as much about offending someone Wink

I try to avoid, as much as possible, South Sac, West Sac, Rancho, N. Highlands, S. Natomas, Del Paso Heights and Rio Linda. Most places are okay during the day, but those are the areas I don't go through at night, mostly because I have no reason to.

I just moved back here from Louisville, KY. I was there for several years but I grew up here in Sac. So as someone who knows a little bit about the place, the part of Sacramento that is more crime ridden is South Sacramento.
