It's sad, but predictable, that the Republicans, specifically Bush, aren't smart enough to understand that Kerry's recent statement was a slam against their education, or lack thereof, rather than the education of our troops. It's unfathomable to believe, for a second, that Kerry would say anything like that about our soldiers - he was one. Not many of those in the White House can say the same.
Kerry said the comment in question was “a botched joke about the president and the president’s people, not about the troops ... and they know that’s what I was talking about.”
