Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the shooting death of a man inside a home in the 7200 block of Larchmont Drive.

Investigators say the landlord of the building called 911 just before 3 p.m. Thursday after finding the victim. The landlord discovered the body when he came to collect the rent.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

According to investigators, the victim is a 24-year-old man. His name has not been released, but the landlord said he was the man who was renting the home.
