A fire forced members of a north Sacramento family from their home late Tuesday night, officials said.

The blaze broke out on Cathcart Avenue and had already caused major damage by the time firefighters arrived.

Crews worked to contain the blaze to one home on the cul-de-sac.

No residents of the home were injured.

Authorities said they are still trying to determine the cause.
