unless you live under a bridge with no tv or radio youve heard about the Don Imus racial remark issue (can we say slow news week??) what dont people get about him being a "shock jock" for morning radio?? I was watching the Today show this morning and saw Mat lauer talking to Al Sharpton, who is calling for Imus to be fired. Sharpton responded to Imus's comments about rappers using the same language and did mention that in either case its inexcusable - Sharpton basically just repeated what Imus just said. This is where I get pissed off at news people not asking the hard hitting questions. Matt Lauer should have asked Sharpton for names of rappers who should be fired by their labels for making the same, if not worse, statements. Yes it's wrong! Yes, there is a double standard! Call the Rev. on it! Ask for specific names of individuals who should be fired and boycotted, or is the Rev. not man enough to out anybody but a near dead old white DJ who can give him more air time?

I saw part of that interview this morning, but I was too busy getting ready for work. You made a good point though. That would have been a good question for Al Sharpton to answer. And, I agree, it must be a slow news week. Wink

Haven't shock jocks like Don Imus and Howard Stern always done stuff like this? I don't really know, myself, since I don't listen to talk radio of any kind. It just seems like this came out of left field.

I find it strange how much time and energy people put into entertainers.
