I'm sure you've heard about the Grand Canyon Skywalk by now... (see pic below)

BUT... I just read this blog post from someone who's been out there & was greatly disappointed... All of the articles I've seen for it priced the tour at a fairly steep $25 per person. Apparently, that only goes to the developer & the tribe charges another $10/car to get on the reservation and then another $50 per person for the tour. The roads aren't paved, the buildings are temporary and the wait is long...

It seems what happened is that the tribe got trounced in the contract negotiation, and were left to come up with their own source of revenue. Now, to be completely honest, the $75 got you more than just the Skywalk. It got you a bus ride to the Skywalk, then to Guano Point, another nice view which also had a "buffet" meal, and then another bus to a ranch which had a petting zoo. Not that anyone had come to see any of those things, or to eat at a buffet.

It looks and sounds really nice to be able to walk over that Grand Canyon like that, but I also do believe that it is a rip off because of the amount of money you have to pay. confused
