Orangevale man goes for pogo record
In recent months, Scott Carrera has suffered major headaches.
And his feet have been absolutely killing him.
Well, duh!
The aches and pains came only after Carrera, 34, of Orangevale decided he would start training to break the world record for jumping on a pogo stick. He's aiming to go about 24 hours and hit 250,000 jumps.
That's 190 jumps a minute -- 11,400 every hour.
Along the way, he predicts the skin will wear entirely off his feet, the front of his thighs will chafe so badly they will bleed and the headaches that have plagued his long hours of training are sure to return.
