Two people died and another man suffered severe burns early Saturday after a two-alarm fire tore through an Orangevale home. Two firefighters also sustained minor injuries fighting the blaze, Sacramento Metro Fire officials said.

Fire crews were called to the home on Erwin Avenue around 8:00 a.m. Saturday, Sacramento Metro Fire spokesman Christian Pebbles said. A man and woman inside the house were killed and a third person was rushed to Mercy San Juan Medical Center with severe second and third degree burns, Pebbles said.
