Artest Working On Court-Ordered Community Service
Sacramento Kings star Ron Artest performed court-ordered community service in Roseville on Sunday after earlier pleading no contest to a domestic violence charge.
Artest was spotted at the city of Roseville's corporation yard.
Artest must perform 100 hours of community service, a year of anger management classes, a six-week fathering class and three years of probation following a violent incident in March involving his wife, Kimsha. He also received 20 days of jail time, but if he completes his community service and classes, he will not have to actually serve any time behind bars.
Artest earlier pleaded not guilty to charges of battery and corporal injury to a spouse, false imprisonment and dissuading a witness from reporting a crime. As part of his deal, Artest pleaded no contest to the corporal injury charge.
