A stable of some of the best fighters in mixed martial arts was on hand at Arco Arena Friday for weigh-ins in anticipation of Saturday's UFC 73 event, featuring a collection of fighters from various martial arts disciplines going head to head.

The growing sport will make its second major stop in Sacramento Saturday night with some a stacked fight card, including Sean Sherk, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Kenny Florian, Stephan Bonnar, Heath Herring, Chris Lytle and Jorge Gurgel.

But the headline bout is expected to be a matchup between wrestler-turned-former light heavyweight UFC champion Tito Ortiz against up-and-coming undefeated superstar Rashad Evans.

Ortiz, one of the biggest stars in the sport, is coming off a disappointing Dec. 30 loss fellow UFC headliner Chuck Lydell. Meanwhile, Evans, 28, is quickly making a name for himself, compiling an undefeated 15-0 record, including recent wins over Sean Salmon and Jason Lambert.
