Sacramento, CA Discussion / National / Re: Emergency Petition to Congress on Iraq

I think that most everyone wants to see this come to an end especially since more and more people are dying that do not need to be dying. The people of the region do not want us there, so we should just pull out and leave them to continue to destroy themselves and each other and not worry about them.
Our Military was set up to defend our country and since we are not doing anything for our country over there, they should not be there. We have not stopped or gotten the people we think are responsible for the WTC incident so let it be and get those men back here to protect our boarders.

Sacramento, CA Discussion / National / Re: Key Moment on Global Warming

I have heard from people that are the scientists and not just activists, that what we are hearing about global warming from the activists is not really what is going on that they are making a case out of things that have been going on for hundreds of years and as some of the issues at hand with the environment are accurate many of them are not.
What is you take on this.

People never fully realize the chaos that would be brought forward if we did not have a president. This comment is my opinion only and does not mean that I agree or support everything that our nation has done or is doing. It is merely a comment on the fact that if you have 50 million people making decisions nothing would ever be done.

Well many of the homeless people, get put in jail because they are forced to steal. You cannot get cleaned up and go to work if you have no place live, you cannot eat properly and abide by laws if all they continually do it criticize you and say that it is your fault. Homelessness like many other things is something that needs to be addressed by the government. You have people using and abusing public assistance, and yet someone who is homeless cannot even receive the much needed benefit that they deserver because they do not have a address.

Sacramento, CA Discussion / Sacramento Area / Re: Help slow Sacramento sprawl

You know that when you start running out of land, that most areas will eventually be developed whether or not you want it to happen. When there is growth it warrants the development. I would really start see developers buying up old old outdated property and fixing it up or tearing down and rebuilding.

You know that just because someone gives up a seat that it does not automatically make them guilty although it appears in many of the cases that they are. You then eventually find out that there was some misconduct going on. It is too bad that the government just wants to invade everyone homes, take their computer and find some way to make them seem like a bad guy. Often forgetting that we are all human.
