1  Sacramento, CA Discussion / Downtown Sacramento / Re: U.S. Bank Tower Rises Above Capitol Mall on: June 02, 2007, 10:21:04 AM
I would have thought that people would stop making such tall buildings after 9/11 I have never really seen a use for buildings such as this other than maybe for hotels. But I guess that is the way to get several offices in one location without taking 2 mile of property.
2  Sacramento, CA Discussion / Arden / Arcade / Re: Sacramento High School Benefits from "E-Waste" on: June 02, 2007, 10:18:43 AM
It is fantastic to see so many people try to help by recycling. I am always glad when people do their part to make the environment better for everyone. I wish more places did things such as this.
3  Sacramento, CA Discussion / Arden / Arcade / Re: Domestic Stabbing Turns Deadly on: June 02, 2007, 10:15:49 AM
You know reporters, whatever they think will get the readers attention, obviously it worked as we are all commenting on it. So kudos to the reporter.
4  Sacramento, CA Discussion / Events / Re: Festivals, Carnivals, Trade Shows Etc on: June 02, 2007, 10:14:29 AM
That sounds great thanks for the information. I will have to check it out sometime. I appreciate the discount thing. What about pricing of items are they really expensive.
5  Sacramento, CA Discussion / National / Re: Emergency Petition to Congress on Iraq on: June 02, 2007, 10:13:01 AM
I think that most everyone wants to see this come to an end especially since more and more people are dying that do not need to be dying. The people of the region do not want us there, so we should just pull out and leave them to continue to destroy themselves and each other and not worry about them.

Our Military was set up to defend our country and since we are not doing anything for our country over there, they should not be there. We have not stopped or gotten the people we think are responsible for the WTC incident so let it be and get those men back here to protect our boarders.
6  Sacramento, CA Discussion / National / Re: Key Moment on Global Warming on: June 02, 2007, 10:09:52 AM
I have heard from people that are the scientists and not just activists, that what we are hearing about global warming from the activists is not really what is going on that they are making a case out of things that have been going on for hundreds of years and as some of the issues at hand with the environment are accurate many of them are not.

What is you take on this.
7  Sacramento, CA Discussion / National / Re: GWB got pooped on! on: June 02, 2007, 10:07:35 AM
Who is this person and what exactly are you referring to when you day he got popped on. I would like to hear more so bring in the story or tell us what you know.
8  Sacramento, CA Discussion / National / Re: Bush's Dictatorship on: June 02, 2007, 10:06:34 AM
People never fully realize the chaos that would be brought forward if we did not have a president. This comment is my opinion only and does not mean that I agree or support everything that our nation has done or is doing. It is merely a comment on the fact that if you have 50 million people making decisions nothing would ever be done.
9  Sacramento, CA Discussion / National / Re: The Govt Must Protect Our Airwaves! on: June 02, 2007, 10:03:47 AM
very interesting. I will have to take a look at this more thoroughly and make a decision as to what I want to do next. thanks for the information you have definitively opened my eyes to something I was not aware of.
10  Sacramento, CA Discussion / National / Re: Sacramento Group Plans to Acquire Sheehan's Land in Crawford, Texas on: June 02, 2007, 10:00:57 AM
Why is she selling the land. I never understood this. What is the purpose please explain or I guess I will go and finish reading the article. I do not understand why you would sell it if you are planning to make it a memorial of some sort. Maybe if I read it I will have a better understanding of what it is that is being proposed.
11  Sacramento, CA Discussion / California / Re: A Plea For The Poor on: June 02, 2007, 09:58:33 AM
Well many of the homeless people, get put in jail because they are forced to steal. You cannot get cleaned up and go to work if you have no place live, you cannot eat properly and abide by laws if all they continually do it criticize you and say that it is your fault. Homelessness like many other things is something that needs to be addressed by the government. You have people using and abusing public assistance, and yet someone who is homeless cannot even receive the much needed benefit that they deserver because they do not have a address.
12  Sacramento, CA Discussion / Sacramento Area / Re: Judge Upholds Using Driving Record to Determine Insurance Rates on: June 02, 2007, 09:54:51 AM
I think that the driving record should determine the rate in which one person pays not as a general. You should have to pay a little more if you are not properly paying attention or often fail to obey the laws.

I think that people who make the effort to be better drivers and pay attention should have lower rates than those who do not. Not an even board rate amount for.
13  Sacramento, CA Discussion / Sacramento Area / Re: Help slow Sacramento sprawl on: June 02, 2007, 09:52:53 AM
You know that when you start running out of land, that most areas will eventually be developed whether or not you want it to happen. When there is growth it warrants the development. I would really start see developers buying up old old outdated property and fixing it up or tearing down and rebuilding.
14  Sacramento, CA Discussion / Sacramento Area / Re: FBI Searches John Doolittle's Virginia Home on: June 02, 2007, 09:50:40 AM
You know that just because someone gives up a seat that it does not automatically make them guilty although it appears in many of the cases that they are. You then eventually find out that there was some misconduct going on. It is too bad that the government just wants to invade everyone homes, take their computer and find some way to make them seem like a bad guy. Often forgetting that we are all human.
15  Sacramento, CA Discussion / Carmichael / Re: Small Explosive Device Found At Carmichael School on: May 29, 2007, 01:07:39 PM
This is ok, since they have proof of something. My only problem is when you have a device on school grounds and you lock down the school you are putting the children in more danger shame on you.
