My brother has been living off our parents for the past 6 years. He is now 30 years old. He doesn't live with them. He has his own apartment that our parents pay for because they are too embarrassed to have their friends know that they are supporting their adult son. They pay for his bills, rent, and food. When I confronted them about how he is old enough to take care of himself my mom just avoids the question. My father doesn't agree with this, but doesn't want the family to fall apart so he stays out of it. I am very upset and I guess I don't understand how a 30 year old man refuses to get a job to support himself. I am 28 and have taken care of myself for many years. Now I am married and we just bought our own house. What is wrong with my brother? My brother's attitude is that this is no big deal. I am confused!
