Hmm...seems like no one responded to your post!  Not sure if you already moved to the Sacramento area or not?  Sounds like based on where you want to live the Land Park or Curtis Park area would be a good fit for you.  Both are great areas with close proximity to both downtown Sacramento and Sac City College.
