1  Sacramento, CA Discussion / Introductions / Re: Hello on: December 01, 2006, 11:36:01 PM
Thank you for the welcome, both.  Smiley

I'm going to be swamped Monday onwards. Need to make the most of this weekend. Any suggestions?  Not much of an outdoors person, though.

No he won't and you don't need to worry. Because of two reasons:
1. Arnold has no plans to retire after serving out his term. He will simply look for other ways to "serve".
2. California's schools are in for a $6 billion windfall over the next five years. OCRegister
The article is a bit, um... negative, but that should not cloud the central message - You don't need to worry.  Big Grin
3  Sacramento, CA Discussion / Introductions / Hello on: December 01, 2006, 07:27:43 PM
Hi,

I just moved to Sac from Florida and I'm trying to find a home, both real and virtual.  Big Grin
BTW, I should have posted in here first, but just didn't occur to me.  Looks like a nice forum, and I'm hoping I can have some fun hanging out here.
4  General Discussion / Automotive / How many of you drive a hybrid? on: December 01, 2006, 06:32:34 PM
If you do, which one? If not, why not? I'm writing an article on the slow growth of hybrid automotives, and I'd like some feedback from real, live people. All I have to work with now is the corporate hype and a few enviro groups ranting about peak oil.

Hey. That's not fair. Getting a sinking feeling in my stomach as I see your graphics.  But then I remembered that's 2004, not 2006. You got similar graphics for 2006? I take back my question about being too blue. I want more blue.  Big Grin
6  Sacramento, CA Discussion / California / Too Blue? on: November 30, 2006, 10:25:04 PM
You think being so overwhelmingly Democratic is good for California? You're taken for granted. You think the pols in Washington listen to your demands? Or do they race to a swing state like Florida at the first whiff of a hurricane?
7  Sacramento, CA Discussion / Sacramento Discussion / Re: Home Auctions Coming To Sacramento Area on: November 29, 2006, 07:43:16 PM
Ohhh..Wish I had.  I just got here, and I really need some help. I think I'm just going to rent a condo, though.

BTW, I do have question for you. Why would a state as blue as California re-elect Arnold?  ROFL
