I've been so happy with my DVR from Dish that I don't have time to watch anything else.  I just love the dual recording capability that lets me record programs to watch later.   I haven't rented a movie for more than a year now.

I just put some Rainex on the windshield of my car and it's amazing how much it helps you see out of your car better.  When you drive on the freeway you almost don't even have to use your wiper blades at the water just beads right off and blows away.

I'm considering an all electric car.  They sell one here in Santa Rosa where I live that goes 40 miles per hour which is quite fast for an all electric car.  That's fast enough for me to commute to work and back and do my everday errands in the city.  The best thing about this car is that it costs less than a penny per mile in electricity, no oil changes, and it's very easy to park in small tight parking spaces.
19  Sacramento, CA Discussion / Sacramento Discussion / Rental Prices are Rising on: December 05, 2006, 08:44:20 PM
If you rent apartments right now, you're actually doing well right now.    There's much fewer new apartments that were built this year than usual and so rent prices are actually rising.

I just read an article on rocklintoday.com that said that the median asking price is now $410,000  which is "down 2.1 percent in the past month and off 6.8 percent in the past six months."

It looks like this trend is going to continue from everthing I have read from economists recently.  If you're looking to buy a home, I'd wait awhile for prices to come down.

That sounds like a nice pleasant way to spend the night.  What church do you go to if you don't mind me asking?  I consider myself Christian, but I don't acutally go to church right now. Several of my family members including my grandmother and aunt and uncle go to the Lutheran church right off Antelope.

I think that just a couple weeks ago Taco Bell said they will follow suit and switch to canola oil.
23  Sacramento, CA Discussion / Rocklin / Re: Rocklin Police Search For Carjacking Suspect on: November 30, 2006, 11:46:14 AM
Actually, he just lives in Rocklin, but I'm not sure that he is a Rocklin PD officer.  I believe he actually works near downtown Sacramento so that would be outside of Rocklin.  I haven't talked to him in awhile, but last time I saw him he was a motorcycle cop.  His first name is Jameson.  He hasn't been an officer all that long and funny enough he worked for Microsoft all the way up untill he was about 33 years old and decided to become a police officer.  It was quite a career change going from a software salesman to a police officer, but he just knew that was what he wanted to do.

It sounds like a good idea.  I'm sure it will cost them a lot more to use a safer oil like Canola, but it's a good step in the right direction for the health of Americans.  We don't need any more strain on our health care system and anything we can do to combat heart disease is a good thing that I will support on the government level.

Yikes, I don't want to hear stuff like this.  My cousin is a police officer in Rocklin.
26  Sacramento, CA Discussion / Rocklin / Re: Rocklin - Nice Area to Live on: November 29, 2006, 06:08:53 PM
I am not in the Sacramento area, no.  I just have relatives that live there and I visit them several times a year.  I'm living in the North Bay right now.  Thanks for the welcome.
27  Sacramento, CA Discussion / Rocklin / Rocklin - Nice Area to Live on: November 27, 2006, 09:35:58 AM
My cousin has a home in Rocklin in a very nice gated community on a hill.  They lucked out and bought their home a few years back before the price of homes skyrocketed and so they're sitting pretty right now.  Anyway, I like this area a lot and it's close to a major shopping mall and some nice restaurants.
