General Discussion / Health / Re: Best Breakfast Food

Well I'm going to have say that something with nutritional value in the morning is key. Something that packs some carbohydrates with fibre. The body breaks down the carbohydrates, utilises that for the first part of the day. Plus! You get the added benefits of fibre. People just don't get enough fibre into their diets these days.
Furthermore, I've decided to become better at cooking Italian food. I ordered a couple of recipe books the other day off of Amazon, so who knows what I'll be having for breakfast in a couple of days!

Sacramento, CA Discussion / Global / Re: Prince Harry To Deploy To Iraq

Was anybody obtuse enough to think for one moment that they should send him to Iraq? I believe now he's going to Afghanistan. But it was inevitable that the fervent British media would latch onto the fact that Harry was being sent to Iraq, thus the Ministry of Defense would have to hold him back for safety reasons. I do question whether or not they knew how it was all going to unfold because I myself predicted it would happen just like this many months ago.
You see, when the majority of the British people despise their Government for entering America's fallacious war, people, especially the parents of those killed, would scream to the prime minister, you wouldn't send any of your relatives (Or someone directly associated with the royal family) to war.
This, in my eyes, was to give the Government more time to remain in Iraq for political and monetary gains, as it would appear that the Government truly believes they are fighting a justified war for which, for some absurd reason of thought, can be won.

I heard an interesting statistic the other day, that something along the lines of 50,000 people have died from acts of terrorism since 1969. Apparently more people die from nut allergies a year when you take an average of how many people die from terrorism each year - I make it around 1,315.
Put like that, it doesn't seem logical to invade any country and take away more innocent life. To me war is never justified, however, I concur that there must be some form of defense, but for 1,315 a year, this is ridiculous and it deeply sickens me.
Place me in Rupert Murdoch's shoes and I'll air a dire warning about nut allergies or drowning in your own bath every hour on the dot!

Salutations to you all. I signed up to post in the global warming thread that appears to be fairly active at the moment with people giving their opinions on the so-called man-made global warming. However, I think I may stick around for a while as there appears to be a lot more going on than just that!
I hope you all welcome me to your communal forum.

Sacramento, CA Discussion / Global / Re: Global Warming? Not Even Close

I must admit I do personally believe that man-made global warming is a political perspective rather than a problem. I'm naturally skeptical of any fear tactics that are uttered by the Government. I often find myself questioning the political reasoning behind such fear tactics and you can quite clearly see the real reasons once you take a deeper look.
Everyday the situation appears to be getting a lot worse for this planet. I personally believe that we have negated the fact that we're killing this planet in a million and one ways. If the born-again carers of this earth are looking for some kind of redemption or forgiveness for the years of not caring, they won't be getting any from me.
The truth is this world is too messed up to be stabilised. Although good out weighs evil in every possible way, there are far too few good people speaking out. If people can stop being so indifferent and turn this around, it'd astonish me.
