Outside the front doors of Delta Dental's Rancho Cordova office, Elaine Brandon sat trembling on a patch of grass.

"I got really lightheaded and I had shortness of breath, could hardly breathe," said Brandon, as she sat with more than a dozen co-workers feeling sick from the smells inside the building.

Brandon's symptoms were similar to the others who felt sick after what was determined to be noxious fumes from about a pound of rotting food forced the evacuation of a Delta Dental building Thursday afternoon.
