A hit-and-run crash killed one pedestrian and injured another at the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard and Coloma Road in Rancho Cordova around 9 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Deputies said a man and woman in their 40s were walking across Sunrise Boulevard against the light when they were hit.

The woman died at the scene and the man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Officials said the driver of a blue Buick sedan left the scene of the wreck and is now facing possible charges of vehicular manslaughter and felony hit-and-run.
