Rocklin Robbery Ends in Roseville Car Chase
he search for a Rocklin robbery suspect turned into a vehicle pursuit Saturday after officers spotted and chased the alleged gunman through the streets of Roseville, a Rocklin police spokesman said.
Masked and wielding a shotgun, the suspect identified as Jaisen Lee Henning, 31, of Sacramento allegedly robbed a victim at the Days Inn on Granite Drive in Rocklin around 2:49 p.m., Rocklin police Sgt. Scott Horrillo said.
Horrillo said the suspect fled in a gray compact sedan with covered license plates. Rocklin officers relayed the vehicle information to local agencies and within minutes, police in Roseville located the suspect vehicle near Interstate 80 and Highway 65.
Henning refused to pull over, triggering a short chase that ended when officers trapped Henning's car in a Cirby Drive parking lot, Horrillo said.
A mask and short-barreled shotgun were found in Henning's car and witnesses identified Henning as the gunman.
Horrillo said Henning was booked into the Placer County Jail on a variety of charges, including robbery, assault, burglary and evading arrest.
