I live in roseville and I think it is the coolest place ever.

but, I don't like my apartment complex. I really don't feel like getting into it now but, I will be looking for another spot come march.

unless, somebody knows a trick to get out of a lease early with no additional expense.

They told me that I need to pay the last months rent plus the same amount as a penalty.

I guess the only reason I want to break out early is a great opportunity to get into a house (lease, perhaps lease to own) has come up.

You didn't pay first & last when you moved in?

Your options probably depend on what you want your rental history to look like... I'll see if SactoSweetie has any suggestions as she used to be in property management Smiley

I had to pay a $300 deposit, and an additional $945 because their "computer" said that my credit required an additional deposit. That is the first thing that pissed me off.

Then I was unfairly made to remove some decorative lighting from my patio/deck. They said the leasing contract did not allow for any decorations on the outside that may impact the outside appearance. And yet, other places have lights up, and chimes, which, by the way, is a direct violation of the leasing agreement too. The lights are not listed as an example at all. that pissed me off too.

I am also asked to lower my music volume during the daytime, even though quite hours start at 10PM. Now, I understand that I live in an apartment and I need to respect people's need for quite, but, I believe that the same concession should be made for my need to be a little loud every once in a while.
