Roseville Police Crack Down On Speeders
The Monday morning commute started on an expensive note for some speeders in Roseville.
Police were out in force handing out tickets as part of a zero-tolerance effort to get drivers to obey the law.
Officers centered their efforts on a stretch of Stanford Ranch Road near Fairway Drive, just feet from where a young man died recently in a wreck that authorities said appeared to be speed-related.
In a four-hour period, officers cited 95 drivers. They said the fastest violator was traveling 72 mph in a 45-mph zone. Several officers were monitoring the area to catch problem drivers.
