I just got back to Sacramento a few weeks ago from Boston and an old friend of mine informed me of one our old high school friends. Apparently he wrote a book and self published it (I think its called Icarus Fall or FOlly or something) and the entire thing slams this city. I have to admit I didn't care at first, but after living here again for just a week I forgot how much I like this city. I know I shouldn't even talk about this guy since he probably won't sell a single copy, but I just can't help get offended by this stuff.

I see it all the time by people who dislike this city. Sure it's a cliche, but if you don't like this great city, why don't you just leave? Anyways, the guys name is Alan Stevens, but I think he goes by Steve Stevens now. I hope this guy doesn't get too much press (I'm doubtful he will) but if you happen to find anyone reading his book, be sure to scoff at them for me lol.

It's good to be home again Smiley

After reading your post, I'm wondering if you are, in fact, the author of the book trying to rustle up a bit of "controversy" in order to sell your book. If that's the case, I would advise you to change the title of your book. "Icarus" is done, dude. Maybe even over done. And "Folly?" Yep, definitely over used. My first reaction to the title alone is that the book is not going to be creative, interesting or contain anything of a fresh perspective. I do intend to leave it alone purely from complete lack of interest.
