Thousands of vehicles damaged by flooding during and after Hurricane Katrina are now being sold to unsuspecting drivers in the Sacramento area and elsewhere around the nation, police said.

The California Highway Patrol told Call 3 it is now investigating several people in connection with this crime of opportunity.
