Return of the O.J. Media Circus
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department is gearing up for its role in the O.J. Simpson saga. The department is handling the auction of the rights of the former NFL star's book, "If I Did It."
"We expect media coverage from all over, across the country," said Sgt. Tim Curran, spokesman from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.
From media crews, to security, to interested bidders, deputies are preparing for what will be one of the largest auctions the department has ever held. The department's civil division, which holds at least four auctions a year, will administer this event.
"We will treat it like any large event and maintain a certain decorum," said Curran. "This is a civil proceeding, and we will do our best to maintain that decorum."
