Health officials confirmed Friday that a high school student in Sacramento County tested positive for tuberculosis.

Now students and parents at Center High School in Antelope are being warned about the highly contagious disease.

On Friday, school officials handed out a letter to students, informing them that one female sophomore had contracted the disease. Testing for those in close contact with the student is expected to begin next week.
