A pursuit involving California Highway Patrol officers and a driver who failed to yield for a traffic violation ended in a Sacramento neighborhood Tuesday morning.

The chase began on Highway 99 near Mack Road with speeds topping 100 mph.

The driver crashed through a fence and into several parked cars before the pursuit ended in a neighborhood off Freeport Boulevard, not far from Sacramento City College.

The driver was taken into custody by officers after a CHP cruiser spun his vehicle at 23rd Avenue and Larson Way.
