Ten people have become sick after being exposed to a package in a vehicle that was leaking hydrochloric acid.

The incident took place at a UPS Store at 1380 Shore Street.

The people complained of feeling sick and some were vomiting. All of them were transported to three separate hospitals in the area.

A representative from the West Sacramento Fire Department said the package had a small leak, but since it was confined to a small area, many people became sick.
