W. Sac council looks at moving oil tanks
The West Sacramento City Council took a first step to relocate oil tanks along the Sacramento River and reclaim the land for redevelopment.
The council approved a contract Wednesday night with Michael Brandman Associates to study the environmental effects of consolidating 49 tanks that dot both sides of the river and moving the operations to a 17-tank farm at the Port of Sacramento.
